1 | Pound(lb) | boneless pre-cooked ham steak, cut into 1 inch cubes |
Preparation
Place the ham in the center of an ungreased 11 by 9 by 2 inch microwave safe baking dish. Arrange the carrots in a single layer around the edge of the dish. Combine the maple syrup and Dijon mustard in a small dish, then pour over the ham and carrots. Cover with microwave safe plastic food wrap, vent by turning back one corner, and microwave on high for 8 minutes, stirring the carrots once midway. Mix the beans with the ketchup, dry mustard and chili powder in a large bowl, then spoon on top of the ham and carrots. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 8 minutes, stirring midway. Toss the bread crumbs with the butter in a small bowl, then sprinkle over the beans and microwave, uncovered, on high for another 2 minutes. Or, if you prefer, transfer to a preheated broiler and broil 4 inches from the heat for 1 minute or until tipped with brown.
