Recipe Description
A fast and easy baked rice dish, that holds a surprise layer of red tomatoes at it's center. My family considers this dish to be comfort food, enjoying it as both a side course, or a main entree when paired with a green salad.

Ingredients

2 Cup(c)  boiled rice
1/2 Cup(c)  cheese, shredded
1   large tomato, sliced
1/2 Cup(c)  milk
1 Cup(c)  buttered bread crumbs
1 Dash(ds)  paprika

Preparation

Arrange rice and cheese in alternate layers in buttered baking dish. Place tomatoes in the middle layer. Pour milk over the top. Cover with buttered crumbs and paprika. Bake at 450° F until crumbs are brown, about 10 to 15 minutes.
