1/2 Cup(c)  graham cracker crumbs
1 Teaspoon(t)  baking powder
2 1/2 Cup(c)  all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon(T)  lemon juice
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  lemon peel, grated
1   egg, beaten
2 Tablespoon(T)  sugar
6 Ounce(oz)  cream cheese, at room temperature
1 Cup(c)  butter, at room temperature
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  lemon peel, grated
1 Tablespoon(T)  sour cream
1   egg yolk
2 Tablespoon(T)  sugar
3 Ounce(oz)  cream cheese


In a large bowl, beat butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, lemon peel, and, lemon juice. Stir until blended. Add flour and baking powder and stir until well blended. Cover and refrigerate until firm (about 1 hour). Meanwhile, prepare cheese filling. In a small bowl, combine 3 oz. cream cheese (at room temperature), 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon sour cream, and 1/4 teaspoon grated lemon peel. Beat until smooth. Divide dough into 48 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball, then roll each ball in crumbs to coat all sides. Place balls about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Flatten each ball slightly. Make an indentation in top of each  cookie (don't press all the way through to baking sheet) and fill with about teaspoon cheese filling. Bake in a 325 degree F oven until lightly browned (about 25 minutes). Transfer cookies to racks and let cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
