1 1/4 Cup(c)  sugar
4   egg yolks
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  cloves
1 Quart(q)  beer

Preparation

Bring the beer with the spices to a boil. Beat the egg yolks with sugar till thick and creamy. Add the beer in a thin stream, beating all the time. Heat, stirring, but do not boil.
