Recipe Description
This dish is not actually barbecued, but sauted in a skillet. A true New Orleans classic when served up with french bread to mop up the sauce.

2 Pound(lb)  large raw shrimp, unpeeled
6 Tablespoon(T)  butter
1 Tablespoon(T)  olive oil
4 Clove(clv)  garlic, minced
1/4 Cup(c)  chili sauce
1/4 Cup(c)  worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 Tablespoon(T)  creole seasoning
1 Tablespoon(T)  fresh parsley, chopped
1 Teaspoon(t)  dried oregano
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  paprika
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  hot sauce
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  red pepper, ground
1/3 Cup(c)  beer (not dark)
2   small lemons, seeded and sliced
16 Ounce(oz)  french bread baguette, sliced


Peel shrimp, leaving tails on and devein, if desired. Melt butter with oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and saute 1 minute or until garlic begins to turn golden. Stir in chili sauce and next 7 ingredients. Cook 1 minute. Stir in beer, lemons, and shrimp. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, or just until shrimp turn pink. Serve with French bread slices.
