Frequently Asked Questions

We have built the site to do just that we have worked to incorporate a special search that will help find recipes by category or key words. Power Search.  If you are not successful I would suggest posting something in our Recipe Babble Section as our community will more than likely be able to steer you in the right direction.

We make every effort to make sure that each recipe posted is unique to Ufoodz.com. In the event a user inadvertently posts a recipe that has been posted on the site we will remove the recipe.  When choosing to remove the recipe we will always remove the more recent post.  We understand that the recipe may have been in your family for years, however in this case it is just a matter of first to the site. We apologize that we have to do this, but it is the only way we can keep the user experience the best that we possibly can and maintain the integrity of the site.

In the event we do have to remove a recipe we will notify the contributing member  and explain what happened. Any places that the duplicate recipe is found will be replaced by the original recipe on the site. We will also transfer the reviews and ranking to the original recipe.

If you come across a duplicate recipe please contact us by email at contact@ufoodz.com  and we will be happy to look into it.

Log  in and go to your account page. (you will see link in top right after you log in.) Once on my account page you will see a tab at top left of the page just above My account in Red. Click on the edit button and you will be bale to log in and change password.

When you need to make changes to account we have tried to make it easy for you. Simply log in and go to your account page. (you will see link in top right after you log in.) Once on my account page you will see a tab at top left of the page just above My account in Red. Click on the edit button and you r e mail address is non file and you will be able to edit your account settings there.

This happens from time to time. The best and quickest way to retrieve your password, is when signing in to  click on the I forgot my password link. Click on that link and follow the instructions and we will send you your password to the e mail you have on file.

  1. Any mix that you are including in a recipe must include all of the ingredients necessary to make the mix if that is what the recipe call for. ( a dip must include all of the ingredients necessary to make the dip sour cream, pepper, milk etc.)
  2. The goal of the site is to have  recipes with that will yield  the same results every time. Thus a “handful of spinach”, or a “can”, “package”,” boxes” is not an accurate recipe measurement as they all come in different sizes. Please stick to traditional fractional measurements  ½,  1/3, ¾ , 1/8  etc.
  3. Other recipes should not be included unless you can buy the store for example prepared pie crust.
  4. If you have suggestion on items that will compliment recipe post in additional tips section for example this recipe goes great with Betty’s Carrot Cake, or serve as side dish to Billy Bob’s BBQ ribs.

We try to review recipes for typos and spelling errors etc. But we are far from perfect. I n the event that a recipe that you submitted is missing an ingredient, or an quantity of an ingredient  is not right . You have the ability to edit the recipe. When you click on the recipe there will be an edit button at the top of the page click  on that and you may alter the recipe. The recipe will then go under review again and once approved the corrections will post.

The one thing that we are looking for above all else is valuable information that our members can use to make the best possible dish. Because there are many levels of cooking expertise we do not require a member to have made a recipe before posting a comment. If a member has something valuable to add by all means please share it with the rest of us so we can benefit from your experiences.  We do ask however, if you have not made the recipe to please refrain from giving a star rating as that would be misleading if you have not actually made the recipe.
