Ingredients

1 1/2 Cup(c)  water
1 Tablespoon(T)  low sodium soy sauce
1/2 Cup(c)  green onions, sliced
1 Teaspoon(t)  chicken bouillon granules
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  lemon peel, shredded
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  lemon pepper
1/2 Cup(c)  long grain rice
1/2 Cup(c)  water chestnuts, chopped
1 Cup(c)  asparagus, chopped
1/8 Cup(c)  lemon peels, for garnish

Preparation

In a medium saucepan, combine the water, soy sauce, onions, chicken bouillon, lemon peel and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice and water chestnuts, reduce heat. Cover and cook for approximately 20 to 25 minutes, until all liquid is absorbed. When rice has 10 minutes cooking time left, stir in the asparagus. Serve with thin strips of lemon peel placed on top of each serving.
