Serve this rice fondue with an apple walnut salad or stir fried broccoli, for a lighter meal with complementary flavors.

4   eggs, separated
1 1/2 Cup(c)  milk
8 Ounce(oz)  sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 Cup(c)  cooked rice
3   green onions, thinly sliced
2 Tablespoon(T)  worcestershire
1 Pinch(pn)  salt, to taste
1 Pinch(pn)  pepper, freshly ground, to taste


Beat egg yolks well. Add milk, cheese, rice, green onions and seasonings and mix well. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Fold into rice mixture and pour into a buttered casserole. Bake in a pan of hot water in a 350° F oven for 1 hour, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
