Ingredients

1 3/4 Cup(c)  all purpose flour, tapped lightly 4 to 5 times
2 1/2 Teaspoon(t)  baking powder
3/4 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1 Teaspoon(t)  water
1 Tablespoon(T)  unsweetened apple juice concentrate
3 Tablespoon(T)  vegetable oil
1 Teaspoon(t)  water
1 Teaspoon(t)  water

Preparation

Preheat oven to 450° F. Lightly oil a small baking sheet. Measure flour, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl and sift three times. In another medium bowl, stir together water, concentrate and oil. Pour concentrate mixture over dry ingredients and stir to mix with a fork. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead ten to fifteen times. Add a little more flour if dough is sticky. Pat out dough to 1 inch thickness. Cut dough with biscuit cutter and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until there is a trace of gold on bottoms, sides, and tops of biscuits. Remove baking sheet from oven and immediately place biscuits in bread basket lined with cloth. Cover biscuits to keep them warm. Serve warm or cold. To store, wrap cooled biscuits in plastic and store on countertop.
