Recipe Description
In many households, it is traditional to serve black-eyed peas for the New Year. Here, they a paired with wild rice in a simple, yet tasty side dish.

Ingredients

1 Cup(c)  uncooked wild rice
2 Cup(c)  water
1 Tablespoon(T)  low sodium soy sauce
1 Bunch(bn)  green onions, chopped
1   vegetable bouillon cube
10 Ounce(oz)  frozen black-eyed peas
2 Tablespoon(T)  low fat margarine

Preparation

Bring the first 5 ingredients to a boil in a pan, reduce the heat, and cook for 20 minutes. Add the peas and margarine to the rice mixture and bring back to a boil. Reduce the heat and cook for an additional 14 to 20 minutes.
