Ingredients

3/4 Cup(c)  all purpose rour
2 Tablespoon(T)  sugar
1 Tablespoon(T)  baking powder
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1   egg, slightly beaten
1 1/4 Cup(c)  skim milk
1 Cup(c)  all bran or bran buds
2 Tablespoon(T)  butter
1/2 Cup(c)  raisins

Preparation

In a bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, mix together the egg, milk, cereal, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed. Stir in the raisins. Add the flour mixture all at once to the cereal mixture, and stir until moistened. The batter will be lumpy. Heat the remaining tablespoon of butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Drop the batter in, using 2 tablespoons of batter per pancake. Cook until golden brown, turning once, about 3 minutes on each side.
