2 Pound(lb)  cod fillets
1 Pinch(pn)  salt, to taste
2 Teaspoon(t)  butter or vegetable oil
3   shallots, chopped
1 Clove(clv)  garlic, minced
1 Tablespoon(T)  lemon juice
1 Teaspoon(t)  dried dillweed
3 Tablespoon(T)  fresh parsley, minced
1 Pinch(pn)  black pepper, fresh ground, to taste


Place fillets on foil covered broiler pan that has been sprayed lightly with vegetable spray.  Heat saucepan over medium heat, add butter or oil and shallots.  Cover and let cook, stirring occasionally, for about a minute.  Add garlic, lemon juice, dill weed and parsley.  Let cook until onions are translucent.  Spread shallot mixture over fish.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Broil for about 5 minutes, turn, baste, and broil for an additional 5 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
