Recipe Description
Brussels sprouts are a cool weather crop and taste best after the first frost. Perhaps that is why they are so often served as a side dish for winter holiday feasts. When paired with roasted chestnuts, they are both delicious and appealing.

1 Pound(lb)  brussels sprouts, trimmed
1 Teaspoon(t)  vegetable oil
1 Cup(c)  roasted chestnuts, peeled and coarsely chopped
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  kosher salt
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  pepper, freshly ground

Preparation

Steam the Brussels sprouts until you can insert a fork through them easily. Heat the oil in a nonstick pan. Add the Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, salt, and pepper. Toss until the Brussels sprouts are heated through and are coated with oil.
