Recipe Description
This is high enough in carbohydrates, and low enough in protein, that you should think of it as a first course, rather than a main course.  But what a great starter for Thanksgiving dinner!

Ingredients

1 Clove(clv)  garlic
1 Tablespoon(T)  butter
1 Quart(q)  chicken broth
8 59/125 Gram(g)  pumpkin
24 Teaspoon(t)  carb countdown dairy beverage
2 Teaspoon(t)  curry powder
1 Pinch(pn)  salt, to taste
1 Pinch(pn)  pepper, to taste
1 103/250 Gram(g)  onion, minced

Preparation

In a large, heavy bottomed saucepan, over medium low heat, saute the onion and garlic in the butter until just softened.  Add the chicken broth, and simmer for 30 minutes.  Stir in the canned pumpkin, Carb Countdown Dairy Beverage and curry powder.  Bring back to a simmer, and simmer gently for another 15 minutes.  Salt and pepper to taste, then serve.
