4 119/2000 Gram(g)  butter, at room temperature
12 177499999999999/500000000000000 Gram(g)  caster sugar
1 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla essence
2   eggs
13 Teaspoon(t)  milk
400 Gallon(gal)  plain flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  bicarbonate of soda
1 1883/2000 Gram(g)  walnuts, finely chopped
5 Tablespoon(T)  sugar
2 Tablespoon(T)  cinnamon, ground


Preheat a 375 degrees F. Grease 2 baking sheets. With an electric mixer, cream the butter until light. Add the sugar and vanilla and continue mixing until fluffy. Beat in the eggs, then the milk. Sift the flour and bicarbonate of soda over the butter mixture and stir to blend. Stir in the nuts. Refrigerate for 15 minutes. For the coating, mix the sugar and cinnamon. Roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into walnut-size balls. Roll the balls in the sugar mixture. You may need to work in batches. Place 2 inches apart on the prepared sheets and flatten slightly. Bake until golden, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a rack to cool.
