Chicken Chili

Recipe Description
An old fashioned favorite with a new face.  This chili has extra calcium, thanks to theaddition of soy beans.  Serve this over rice, or stuffed into warmed tortillas.

1/2 Teaspoon(t)  black pepper, freshly ground
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  cumin, ground
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  oregano, dried
1 Tablespoon(T)  chili powder
19 Ounce(oz)  soy beans, rinsed and drained
28 Ounce(oz)  tomatoes, diced
1 Clove(clv)  garlic, minced
1   large onion, chopped
1 Pound(lb)  lean ground chicken


In a large saucepan, over medium heat, cook chicken, onion and garlic, breaking meat up, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink.  Stir in tomatoes with juice, soybeans, chili powder, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper.  Cook, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes to allow flavors to blend.

Loved the recipes with the extra protein especially being vegetarian. With out a doubt  will make again .
