This dish is low in fat, making it a good choice for anyone on a weight reducing or low-fat diet. If you haven't got the individual spices on hand, you could use 1 tablespoon of curry paste instead. Serve the fish with a fresh tomato salad for a striking visual contrast.

4   skinless cod fillets
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  chili powder
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  ground coriander
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  ground cumin
1 Tablespoon(T)  ginger root, finely chopped
1 Clove(clv)  garlic, peeled and finely chopped
2/3 Cup(c)  plain yogurt


Mix together yogurt, garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, chili and salt. Place the fish in a shallow dish and pour the spiced yogurt mixture over it. Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours. Heat the broiler. Transfer the fish onto a foil-lined broiler pan and cook under a hot broiler for 5-8 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
