2 Tablespoon(T)  butter
4 Ounce(oz)  melted chocolate
4 Tablespoon(T)  fine bread crumbs
1 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla extract
1/2   lemon juice
8 Ounce(oz)  almonds, peeled and ground
8 Ounce(oz)  dates, sliced
2 Cup(c)  confectioners' suar
6   eggs


Beat the eggs with the sugar for 5 minutes. Add all the other ingredients and mix together. Spread the batter in two 9 inch round cake pans, which have been greased and lined with wax paper. Bake in moderate 375 degree F oven for 45 minutes. Remove, cool. Mix the chocolate with butter. Spread between the layers, thinly. Pour the rest of the chocolate over the top of the cake. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
