Ingredients

4 119/2000 Gram(g)  plain flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  baking powder
1 Teaspoon(t)  salt
3 1/2000 Gram(g)  butter, at room temperature
4 119/2000 Gram(g)  caster sugar
1 153/200 Gram(g)  light brown sugar
1   egg
1 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla essence
4 589/1000 Gram(g)  chocolate chips
1 1883/2000 Gram(g)  hazelnuts, chopped

Preparation

Preheat a 350 degree F oven. Grease 2 baking trays. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into a small bowl. Set aside. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugars together. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Add the flour mixture and beat well with the mixer on low speed. Stir in the chocolate chips and half of the hazelnuts using a wooden spoon. Flatten each biscuit lightly with a wet fork. Sprinkle the remaining hazelnuts on top of the biscuits and press lightly into the surface. Drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking trays, to form 1/4 inch mounds. Space the biscuits 1 to 2 inches apart. Bake until golden brown, about 10 to 12 minutes. With a slotted spatula, transfer the biscuits to a wire rack and let cool.
