Ingredients

1 Tablespoon(T)  olive oil
1 Clove(clv)  garlic, chopped finely
1/2   small onion, chopped finely
15 Ounce(oz)  black beans, undrained
1 Pinch(pn)  cayenne pepper
1 Pinch(pn)  cumin, ground
1   small bay leaf

Preparation

In a small saucepan over high heat, combine the olive oil, garlic and onion. Saute together until fragrant. Carefully (the oil will spatter), add the black beans. Add the cayenne. Stir, cover, lower the heat, and simmer for at least 10 minutes. Serve with rice.
