2/3 Cup(c)  vegetable shortening or cold lard with no preservatives or additives
2 Cup(c)  all-purpose flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  salt
7 Tablespoon(T)  ice water


In a medium-sized bowl, combine shortening, flour, and salt.

Using a fork or pastry cutter, cut up mixture until it resembles small peas.

Add ice water a little at a time, stirring gently with a fork until a soft dough ball is formed.

Cover dough and refrigerate until ready to use. (Be sure to use dough within 45 minutes to 1 hour.)

Additional notes

Remember you can roll out crust and bake with Cinnamon sugar for quick cinnamon cookies for the kids.
