This is a easy, make ahead meal that packs a ton of flavor, using very simple ingredients.

Ingredients

2 Pound(lb)  flank steak
3 Clove(clv)  garlic, pressed
1 Teaspoon(t)  pepper, coarsely ground
1 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1 Tablespoon(T)  olive oil

Preparation

Stir together first 4 ingredients in a small bowl.  Rub mixture evenly over flank steak.  Pplace steak in a shallow dish.  Cover and chill 3 hours.  Grill steak, covered with grill lid, over medium high heat (350° to 400°F) for 8 to 10 minutes on each side, or to desired degree of doneness.  Let steak stand 10 minutes before slicing.  Cut diagonally across the grain into thin strips.
