Recipe Description
Instead of being boiled, frozen peas are defrosted, then sauteed with mushrooms, onion, celery and pimientos.

Ingredients

2 Ounce(oz)  pimientos, drained and diced
2 Cup(c)  frozen sweet peas, thawed
3 Ounce(oz)  mushrooms, drained and sliced
2 Tablespoon(T)  onion, finely chopped
1/4 Cup(c)  celery, chopped
2 Tablespoon(T)  margarine

Preparation

Melt margarine in medium saucepan over medium heat.  Stir in celery and onion.  Cook 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp tender.  Stir in all remaining ingredients.  Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

Additional notes

Tip:  To quickly thaw peas, place in colander or strainer.  Rinse with warm water until thawed.  Drain well.
