Five Alarm Three Bean Chili

Recipe Description
This chili recipe should rightfully be served with a fire extinguisher.  Serve on a cold winter night, for an instant increase in your internal temperature.

Ingredients

2 Pound(lb)  beef stew meat, cut into small pieces
29 Ounce(oz)  tomatoes with zesty green chiles, drained and diced
15 Ounce(oz)  pinto beans, rinsed and drained
15 Ounce(oz)  cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
15 Ounce(oz)  dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
12 Ounce(oz)  ale style beer
1   medium onion, diced
6 Ounce(oz)  tomato paste
8 Ounce(oz)  hot chili seasoning mix
2   jalapeno chile peppers, diced
2 Teaspoon(t)  red pepper flakes

Preparation

In a 5 quart slow cooker, stir together beef stew meat, tomatoes, pinto beans, cannellini beans, kidney beans, beer, onion, tomato paste, chili seasoning mix, diced jalapeno chile peppers and 2 teaspoons of the red pepper flakes, until thoroughly combined. Cover and cook on high heat setting for 4 to 5 hours.  Spoon into soup bowls.  Top with sliced jalapeno peppers and additional red pepper flakes, if desired.

Additional notes

Tip:  Because chile peppers contain volatile oils that can burn your skin and eyes, avoid direct contact with them as much as possible.  When working with chile peppers, wear plastic or rubber gloves.  If your bare hands do touch the peppers, wash your hands and nails well with soap and warm water.
