Recipe Description
This simple fondue is rich and delicious. A warm "frosting" for pieces of pound cake, angel food cake, plain cookies or pieces of fresh or dried fruit.

Serves To:USMetric
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  flavoring, such as vanilla, almond, mint or lemon extract
1 Cup(c)  heavy cream
1 Cup(c)  confectioners' sugar


Combine sugar and cream in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for about 1/2 minute. Pour into a fondue pot or chafing dish. Keep heat as low as possible to prevent scorching. Serve with assorted fruit or cake pieces.
