Recipe Description
I use the commercially available pita bread with pockets for this recipe. These crispy crackersare great for any Middle Eastern type of spread or dip.

Ingredients

1 Cup(c)  olive oil
3 Clove(clv)  garlic, pressed
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  thyme, dried
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  oregano, dried
12 Ounce(oz)  pita breads

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350° F. In a small bowl, stir together the oil, garlic, thyme and oregano. Slice the top layer of each pita bread from the bottom layer, creating two thin, round pieces of bread. Brush the textured side (previously the inside) of each pita half with the oil mixture. Cut each round into eighths. Place on baking sheets, oiled side up. Bake 10 to 15 minutes, or until pita points are toasted and browned. Let cool.
