Recipe Description
My Grandma used to makes these cookies for us as a special treat. She had all the ingredients stored in her pantry and could whip them together in no time at all.

Ingredients

1 Cup(c)  soft butter
1 3/4 Cup(c)  pre sifted flour
2/3 Cup(c)  confectioners' sugar, sifted
4 Ounce(oz)  almonds, peeled and ground

Preparation

Cut the butter into the flour with a knife, and rub in with fingertips. Add the sugar and knead for a few minutes. Add the almonds. Roll out the dough as thin as you can. Place on a cookie sheet. Roll till it is 1/4 inch thick. Cut out small squares. Bake in a hot 450 degree F oven, for 8 to 10 minutes until golden. Remove from the cookie sheet with a knife immediately.
