Nothing beats fresh, homemade bread topped with butter! It's best to cool fresh loves before slicing, but these are so tantalizing, you might not be able to wait that long.

Serves Tool

1 Package(pk)  dry yeast
1/2 Cup(c)  warm water
1 Cup(c)  quick oats
1/2 Cup(c)  whole wheat flour
1/2 Cup(c)  brown sugar
1 Tablespoon(T)  salt
2 Tablespoon(T)  margarine
2 Cup(c)  boiling water
5 Cup(c)  flour


Dissolve yeast in warm water. In a large bowel combine oats, whole wheat flour, sugar, salt and margarine. Pour boiling water over all and mix well. When mixture is cooled to lukewarm, stir in yeast. Stir in approximately half of flour. Turn onto flour surface and knead in remaining flour. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled. Punch down. Shape into two loaves and place into greased pans. Let it rise again. Bake at 350 degress F for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool on rack, brushing loaves with margaine for soft crust.
