Recipe Description
This recipe has been a long time Hanukkah favorite in our household.  I made these for over 20 years, to the great enjoyment of my family.

Ingredients

Serves To:USMetric
1/2 Cup(c)  oil
1 Cup(c)  flour
2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
4   eggs
1/2   onion, grated
5 Pound(lb)  potatoes, peeled

Preparation

Hand grate potatoes into a mixing bowl.  Drain well to remove potato starch.  Add onion, eggs, salt and flour and mix well.  Heat oil in a frying pan.  Drop by spoonfuls around pan according to the size pancake you want.  Fry until brown on both sides.  Drain on paper towels.  Serve warm.
