This recipe is perfect for lazy days! Start this a day ahead of time and refrigerate the lasagna overnight. There is no need to cook the noodles, as they will soften and the flavors will meld beautifully, during the overnight hiatus.

2 Tablespoon(T)  parmesan cheese, grated
6 Ounce(oz)  mozzarella cheese, sliced
8 Ounce(oz)  uncooked lasagna noodles
1   egg
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  oregano leaves, dried
2 Tablespoon(T)  fresh chives, chopped
5 Ounce(oz)  ricotta cheese
1 Cup(c)  water
28 Ounce(oz)  spaghetti sauce
1 Pound(lb)  ground beef


In large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain well. Add spaghetti sauce and water. Blend well. In medium bowl, combine ricotta cheese, chives, oregano and egg. Mix well. In ungreased 13 by 9 inch (3 quart) baking dish or lasagna pan, spread 1 1/2 cups of the meat sauce. Top with 1/2 each of the uncooked noodles, ricotta cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese. Repeat with 1 1/2 cups meat sauce and remaining noodles, ricotta cheese mixture and mozzarella cheese. T op with remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover and refrigerate 12 hours or overnight. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Uncover and bake 50 to 60 minutes, or until noodles are tender and casserole is bubbly. Cover. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
