Parmesan Cheese Recipes

Parmesan cheese originated in Italy, but only Westerners refer to it as parmesan. In the particular region of Italy where it is produced, parmesan is known as Parmigiano-Reggiano, and it carries a distinctive classification. Parmesan, or Parmigiano-Reggiano, is a hard, cooked cheese that is either shaved or grated over dishes like pasta and soups.
