By culinary definition, herbs are plant seeds, leaves or flowers used to flavor foods or beverages. While many herbs are quite common, there are other less common herbs varieties used in cuisines around the globe. Kaffir lime leaves, coriander, epazote, galangal, nasturtium and sorrel are all part of the herb family, and can be used to great effect.
