Recipe Description
Spaghetti is an all time favorite meal for children and adults alike. This slow cooker recipe allows you to place all the marinara sauce ingredients in the pot in the morning, then slowly simmer it all day long. The entire family will be able to savor the delicious aromas long before the meal actually hits the table.

28 Ounce(oz)  whole italian style tomatoes, cut up
2   large carrots, coarsely chopped
3   ribs celery, sliced
1   large onion, chopped
1   large green pepper, seeded and chopped
6 Ounce(oz)  tomato paste
1/2 Cup(c)  water
3 Clove(clv)  garlic, chopped
2 Teaspoon(t)  sugar
2 Teaspoon(t)  italian seasoning, dried
1 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  black pepper
1 Unknown()  bay leaf
3/4 Pound(lb)  spaghetti or other favorite pasta

Preparation

in 3 1/2 or 4 quart slow cooker, combine tomatoes with their juices, carrots, celery, onion, green pepper, tomato paste, water, garlic, sugar, italian seasoning, salt, black pepper and bay leaf. Cover slow cooker. Cook on low heat setting for 8 to 10 hours, or on high heat setting for 4 to 5 hours. Remove and discard bay leaf. Cook pasta following package directions. Drain well. Toss sauce with hot cooked pasta. Sprinkle mixture with Parmesan cheese. If desired, garnish with fresh herb sprigs.
