Ingredients

2/3 Cup(c)  butter
1 Cup(c)  sugar
1   egg
1 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla
2 1/4 Cup(c)  pre-sifted, all purpose flour
1 Teaspoon(t)  baking poweder
3/4 Cup(c)  walnuts, finely chopped

Preparation

Cream the butter with the sugar very well. Add the egg and vanilla. Beat for 5 minutes. Blend in the flour mixed with baking powder. Combine with walnuts. Divide the dough in half. Shape into 2 rolls. Wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate overnight. Slice 1/8 inch thick. Bake on a buttered cookie sheet in a hot 425 degree F oven for 5 to 7 minutes.
