Serves Tool

Serves To:USMetric
1/4 Tablespoon(T)  pepper
1/2 Tablespoon(T)  chili powder
1 Tablespoon(T)  green onion, sliced
1/4 Cup(c)  lemon juice
3   medium sized oranges
2   ripe avocados
1   papaya, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks
1/4 Cup(c)  salad oil

To prepare chili dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together wet ingredients. Season to taste with salt, set aside and chill. To prepare salad: Holding fruit over a bowl to catch juice, use a sharp knife to cut peel and all white membrane from oranges. Thinly slice the fruit crosswise and drop into bowl. Pit, peel, and dice avocados. Add avocados and papaya to bowl. Pour dressing over fruit and toss gently. Cover and refrigerate for several hours. To serve, lift fruit from bowl with a slotted spoon and arrange on a platter. Pour dressing remaining in bowl into a serving container. Offer dressing to pour over individual servings.
