Ingredients

3   eggs
1 Tablespoon(T)  butter, melted
   salt
3 3/4 Cup(c)  flour
1/3 Teaspoon(t)  baking powder
3 Slice(sli)  bacon, diced
6 Ounce(oz)  grated cheese

Preparation

Beat the eggs, add butter and salt, beat some more.

Add the flour and as much water as needed to stir easily with a spoon.

Stir for 5 minutes.

Add baking powder.

Drop the dough from a spoon into a kettle with boiling, salted water. Cover and cook 5 minutes.

Transfer with a colander spoon to a warmed serving platter.

Fry the bacon till golden, pour with the drippings over the dumplings.

Sprinkle with cheese. S

erve with braised meats.
