Recipe Description
Collard greens are a true southern specialty. Here, they are slow cooked and combined with smoked turkey for extra flavor. Don't be shy with the hot pepper sauce!

Ingredients

1 Cup(c)  pepper sauce, to taste
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  black pepper
3/4 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1   green bell pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
5   green onions, chopped
2 Pound(lb)  fresh collard greens, chopped
28 Ounce(oz)  seasoned chicken broth
1   smoked turkey wing (about 1 1/4 lb.)

Preparation

Remove skin and meat from turkey wing, discarding skin and bone. Coarsely chop meat. Combine chopped turkey and next 6 ingredients in a 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 9 hours, or until greens are tender. Serve with pepper sauce.
