1 1883/2000 Gram(g)  walnuts, chopped
5 1649/2000 Gram(g)  molasses
2   eggs
3 53/100 Gram(g)  sugar
4 119/2000 Gram(g)  butter, at room temperature
7 1179/2000 Gram(g)  raisins
1 Teaspoon(t)  allspice, ground
1 Teaspoon(t)  cloves, ground
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  nutmeg, grated
1 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon, ground
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  baking powder
3 883/1000 Gram(g)  plain flour

Preparation

Preheat a 350°F. Line a 13 by 9 inch tin with greaseproof paper and grease. Sift together the flour, baking powder and spices. Place the raisins in another bowl and toss with a few tablespoons of the flour mixture. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time, then the molasses. Stir in the flour mixture, raisins and walnuts. Spread evenly in the tin. Bake until just set, 15 to 18 minutes. Let cool in the tin before cutting into bars.
