Recipe Description
Crisp, tart apples and walnuts seem a natural pairing with nutty tasting wild rice.  This salad is a great addition to holiday tables, or transports well for potlucks.

1/8 Teaspoon(t)  salt, or to taste
1/2 Clove(clv)  garlic, minced
1 Teaspoon(t)  orange rind, grated
2 Teaspoon(t)  honey mustard
1 Tablespoon(T)  extra virgin olive oil
1 Tablespoon(T)  vegetable oil
1 1/2 Tablespoon(T)  balsamic vinegar
1/2 Cup(c)  walnuts, chopped
3/4 Cup(c)  celery, diced
1 Cup(c)  tart apples, diced
1 1/2 Cup(c)  cooked wild rice


In a large bowl, toss together the wild rice, apples, celery and walnuts.  In a small bowl, stir together the remaining ingredients.  Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to combine.
