Serves To:USMetric
1 Pinch(pn)  salt
1 3/4 Cup(c)  flour
1 Ounce(oz)  butter
2 Tablespoon(T)  milk
2 Tablespoon(T)  milk

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Put the milk and butter in a saucepan over low heat until the butter is melted. Sift the flour and a pinch of salt into a bowl and pour the milky butter into it gradually. Stir well until the mixture becomes a soft dough. Roll out very thin on a well floured board, and cut into rounds of approximately 2 1/2 inches, using a glass or a cookie cutter. Prick each round several times with a fork and put it pricked side down on a well greased baking tray. Bake for 5 minutes, then turn and bake for another 5 minutes. The biscuits should be lightly colored but not brown. Cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight container.
