Recipe Description
There is nothing better than homemade applesauce with hand-picked apples, and it is so easy to do!

Ingredients

1/2 Teaspoon(t)  grated nutmeg
1 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon
1 Cup(c)  water
8   small cooking apples

Preparation

Peel, core, and slice the apples.

Place in a deep pot.

Add the water and bring to a boil.

Simmer until the apples are tender.

With a potato masher, crush the apples until they reach a lumpy consistency.

Removed from heat and add cinnamon and nutmeg.

Stir well and place in jars.

Refrigerate.
