Leave the skins on the apples and pears for more fiber and nutrition. You can peel them, if you'd like.

1/2 Cup(c)  butter, melted
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  sait
2/3 Cup(c)  brown sugar
1 Cup(c)  flour
1 1/2 Cup(c)  quick cooking oatmeal
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  nutmeg
1 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon
1/4 Cup(c)  sugar
2 Tablespoon(T)  lemon juice
3   pears, sliced
2   apples, sliced


Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9 inch round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. Prepare apples and pears, sprinkling with lemon juice as you work. Combine in medium bowl with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon into prepared cake pan. In same bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, salt and brown sugar and mix well. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit in dish. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until fruit bubbles and topping is browned and crisp. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
