A great way to "doctor" up packaged cake mix. My kids love it.

12 Ounce(oz)  yellow cake mix
2 Tablespoon(T)  applesauce
1/3 Cup(c)  oil
3   eggs
1 1/4 Teaspoon(t)  cinnamon
3/4 Teaspoon(t)  nutmeg
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  cloves
2 Tablespoon(T)  applesauce
1 Cup(c)  powdered sugar, sifted
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla extract
1 Teaspoon(t)  light corn syrup


CAKE: In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, applesauce, oil, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Mix at low speed with an electric mixer until moist, then at high speed for 2 minutes. Pour mixture into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until toothpick, placed in the center, comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 minutes. Invert onto serving plate and cool. Drizzle glaze over top of cake.

Additional notes

GLAZE: Combine powdered sugar, vanilla extract, corn syrup and applesauce in mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and of drizzling consistency.
