Ingredients

5 Quart(q)  popped corn (3/4 cup unpopped)
1 Cup(c)  butter or margarine
2 Cup(c)  brown sugar, packed
1/2 Cup(c)  light corn syrup
1/8 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  baking soda

Preparation

Pop the popcorn; set aside.

Melt the butter; stir in brown sugar, syrup and salt.

Bring mixture to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly or until a temperature of 248 degrees is reached.

Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla.

Gradually pour over popped corn while mixing well.

Turn into 2 large shallow pans and bake at 250 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.

Stir this every 15 minutes.

Remove from oven, cool, break apart.
