Basic Cheese Fondue

This is my spin on cheese fondue. Enjoy!

Serves To:USMetric
3 2/3 Cup(c)  hot milk
3 2/3 Cup(c)  soft breadcrumbs (stale)
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/3 Pound(lb)  grated cheese of your choosing
4   eggs, separated
1 Tablespoon(T)  butter or other fat


Mix hot milk, breadcrumbs, salt, and cheese. Then add the egg yolks, thoroughly beaten.

Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture.

Pour into buttered baking dish and bake for 30 minutes in a moderate oven (350°F).
