Try this low fat classic either as a salad at the beginning of the meal or as a light dessert.

3   large red delicious or granny smith apples
2 Teaspoon(t)  lemon juice
1 1/2 Cup(c)  seedless green grape halves
1 Cup(c)  celery, finely diced
1/3 Cup(c)  raisins
1/4 Cup(c)  toasted walnuts or pecans, finely chopped
1/4 Cup(c)  nonf at salad dressing (miracle whip) or reduced-calorie mayonnaise
1/4 Cup(c)  non fat buttermilk
2 Teaspoon(t)  sugar
1 Ounce(oz)  blue cheese


Peel apples and dice. Toss with lemon juice in a large bowl. Add grapes, celery, raisins and walnuts. Combine salad dressing and remaining ingredients. Stir into apple mixture. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
