Ingredients

1/2 Teaspoon(t)  vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  baking soda
1/2 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/4 Cup(c)  light corn syrup
1/2 Cup(c)  margarine
1 Cup(c)  brown sugar
3 3/4 Quart(q)  popped popcorn

Preparation

Pour popped popcorn into a large roasting pan. Mix sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan and cook gently over medium heat, stirring constantly. When the mixture begins to boil, cook for 5 more minutes. Remove syrup from heat and stir in soda and vanilla until the mixture becomes foamy. Pour syrup over popcorn, stirring to coat. Bake for 1 hour at 200 degrees F, stirring every 15 minutes. Then cool and crumble into small pieces.
