Recipe Description
Here is a new twist to that classic combination of apples and cheese, and a refreshing alternative to sweet fondues.

Ingredients

3 Tablespoon(T)  butter
3 Tablespoon(T)  flour
1 Cup(c)  milk
2 Cup(c)  (8 oz.) diced sharp cheddar cheese
4   crisp green apples, cut into chunks

Preparation

Melt butter in a fondue pot over medium heat. Stir in flour and allow to bubble for 1 minute. Remove from heat and slowly stir in milk. Return to heat and cook, stirring until mixture thickens and boils. Add diced cheese and stir this until melted and smooth. Serve with apple chunks.
