3 | Tablespoon(T) | butter, melted | |
1 | Cup(c) | milk | |
1/2 | Teaspoon(t) | salt | |
1 | Tablespoon(T) | baking powder | |
1 | Cup(c) | all purpose flour | |
1 | Cup(c) | yellow cornmeal |
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 375° F. Grease an 8 inch square baking pan. In a medium bowl, stir together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate medium bowl, stir together the milk, butter, egg, cheese and chilies. Add the liquid ingredients to the dry and stir until just combined. Spread into prepared pan. Bake 35 minutes, or until browned on top. Cut into 9 squares
