1/3 Cup(c)  lukewarm water
4 Ounce(oz)  apricot baby food
1 Tablespoon(T)  butter
2 Cup(c)  bread flour
1 Tablespoon(T)  dry milk
1 Tablespoon(T)  sugar
1 Teaspoon(t)  salt
1/4 Teaspoon(t)  nutmeg, ground
1 Teaspoon(t)  bread machine yeast
1/3 Cup(c)  dried apricots, quartered
1/3 Cup(c)  toasted almonds, coarsely chopped
1/2 Cup(c)  powdered sugar
1 Teaspoon(t)  reserved apricot baby food
1 Teaspoon(t)  milk

Preparation

Make 1 1/2 pound recipe for bread machines that use 3 cups flour, or make 1 pound recipe for bread machines that use 2 cups flour. Measure carefully, placing all ingredients except the 1 teaspoon reserved baby food apricots, almonds in bread machine pan in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Add apricots and almonds at the raisin/nut signal, or 5 to 10 minutes before last kneading cycle ends. Select sweet or basic/white cycle. Use medium or light crust color. Do not use delay cycles. Remove baked bread from pan and cool on wire rack. Drizzle glaze onto cooled loaf, if desired.
